Terms of Service

By purchasing from Dakota Tea House, submitting an event inquiry, accepting a proposal, registering for a program, or using this website, you agree to the applicable terms shown on the website, invoice, proposal, service agreement, marketplace listing, and checkout.

Bookings and Payments

Event dates are not reserved until the required booking retainer is received. A 30% non-refundable booking retainer applies to private events unless otherwise stated in writing. Remaining balances and final event details are due according to the applicable proposal or agreement.

Cancellations and Credits

Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Eligible cancellations may qualify for a future booking credit in accordance with the published Return Policy and any more specific written agreement.

Menus, Guest Counts and Event Details

Clients are responsible for providing accurate guest counts, event addresses, access information, allergies, dietary requests, and other required details by the stated deadline. Changes may affect availability, pricing, staffing, rentals, or service.

Allergies and Dietary Requests

Dakota Tea House will review disclosed allergy and dietary requests individually but cannot guarantee an allergen-free preparation or service environment.

Rentals and Property

Clients are responsible for Dakota Tea House serviceware, linens, decor, and rental items while in their care. Applicable damage or replacement costs may be deducted from a security deposit, and the client remains responsible for costs that exceed the deposit.

Educational Programs

Program-specific and marketplace-specific terms may apply to educational services. Where Step Up For Students or another scholarship marketplace has requirements that differ from these general terms, the applicable marketplace rules govern that transaction.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash except where required by law.

Service Changes

Dakota Tea House may make reasonable substitutions or adjustments when necessary due to availability, safety, weather, venue restrictions, or circumstances outside its control, while preserving the overall nature of the booked service whenever reasonably possible.
