Return & Refund Policy

At Dakota Tea House and Mommy and Me Tea Time LLC, each item and experience is crafted with care and attention to detail. Because our business offers a combination of handmade cottage food products, tea experiences, and educational services, all sales are considered final once completed.

Damaged or Defective Items

We accept returns only in the case of damaged or defective physical items (such as teas, dry ready-to-mix jars, or Par-Tea Boxes) that occur during shipping.

If you receive a damaged item:

  1. Please email dakotateahouse@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery.

  2. Include your order number, a photo of the damage, and a brief description.

  3. Upon verification, we will provide a replacement or store credit for the damaged item.

Non-Returnable & Service-Based Items

The following are non-refundable and non-returnable:

  • Tea experiences and etiquette classes (in-person or private bookings)

  • Customized or personalized items

  • Digital downloads and printable materials

  • Orders placed under Florida or North Dakota Cottage Food Laws (due to the nature of homemade food products)

Credit Policy for Cancelled Experiences

If a tea experience or etiquette class must be cancelled by the client, a store credit may be issued at the discretion of Dakota Tea House under the following conditions:

  • Cancellation must be received at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled experience

  • Credits are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash

  • Credits may be applied toward a future tea experience, class, or eligible Dakota Tea House offering

  • Credits must be used within 6 months of the original scheduled date

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience, or failure to attend without notice, are not eligible for credit.

Provider-Initiated Cancellations

If Dakota Tea House must cancel an experience due to unforeseen circumstances, clients will be offered the choice of:

  • Rescheduling to a future date, or

  • Receiving a store credit for the full value of the experience

Cottage Food Law Disclosure

All food products are prepared in a home kitchen that is not inspected by the Department of Agriculture or Health (Florida & North Dakota Cottage Food Laws).
Because of this, we cannot accept returns on any food items once delivered or picked up, except in the rare event of damage during transit.
